A series circuit is a circuit where there is only one path from the source through all of the loads and back to the source. This means that all of the current in the circuit must flow through all of the loads. One example of a series circuit is a string of old Christmas lights.
Series circuits are really simple to understand actually, calculations are really simple, there are just some key points to remember like current always stays the same throughout the circuit and the total voltage is the total of other voltage drops, the total resistance is the total of other resistance. The formulas are really easy to learn as well as they are related to each other and you can use algebra to isolate variable. Algebra is my favourite part about math, so I don’t mind isolating stuff.
