A parallel circuit has two or more paths for current to flow through. Voltage is the same across each component of the parallel circuit. The sum of the currents through each path is equal to the total current that flows from the source.
Parallel circuits were simple to understand as they have their specific rules, as the starting of the unit I was getting a little confused between series and parallel as some of their rules are different like the current does not stay the same throughout the whole circuit it changes according to the resistance and other factors. Taking out total resistance is a little different as well, it is not hard, but fractions are always confusing. The voltage stays the same throughout the circuit though, well something was easy.
